Description

Bottle price: €22.00

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: Limestone plateau area at 250 meters altitude.

GRAPE VARIETIES:
Field-blended vines — 80% from a parcel of Grenache Gris co-planted with about 15 other varieties (Terret, Muscat, Maccabeu, Clairette, Piquepoul, Aramon, etc.), and 20% from Grenache Noir co-planted with around 10 varieties (Counoise, Morrastel, Piquepoul, Cinsault, Alicante, etc.).

TERROIR: Degraded lacustrine limestone plateau, karstic in nature, with silica inclusions.

VITICULTURE: Biodynamic and agroecological farming with cover crops, gentle pruning, debudding, vine braiding, and treatments based on plants, herbal teas, fermented extracts, sulfur, essential oils, and just a touch of copper (total over 5 years: 4 kg).

VINIFICATION: No additives, only care and attention.

This is a skin-contact white wine.
The Grenache Gris is mostly destemmed (around 80%), while the remainder and the Grenache Noir are placed whole-cluster on top of the tank. Maceration lasts 5 to 7 days in stainless steel, followed by pressing in a traditional vertical ratchet press. The free-run and pressed juice are then transferred to stoneware jars for the completion of alcoholic and malolactic fermentations.

AGEING: Aged in stoneware jars until spring.

TASTING NOTES:
Orange! What a surprise! The robe is a whirlwind of delicacy and light. Its playful grain adds great length and complexity, revealing a dance of unusual aromas. Seasoned palates will find notes of saffron, candied orange, and almond, along with plenty of citrus — grapefruit and blood orange.
This lively, pure, fresh, spicy, and slightly tannic wine pairs beautifully with flavorful vegetables, cheeses, and white meats.
